Black Box Recorder - Passionoia - Very light British pop music with a girl singer starts with an overture about their love of Andrew Ridgeley, the guy in WHAM! who is not George Michael. They then continue to sing an song about the magic of the late Lady Diana.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - B.R.M.C. - 5 piece sound with decent ‘alternative’ music. It’s nice to hear harmonica on modern records, but this album doesn’t do much for me. One of the songs is called Kill The U.S. Government - the song’s OK, even if the titles are a bit self-important.
187 Calm - Child Named Coldly - My first taste of 187 Calm was this 9:18 song - brooding, dark, local San Francisco band. I must hear more of them.
I really must be more trigger-happy with my blog entries. This has been sitting overnight while I was busy with other things.
