Yesterday I started writing a song about writing a song - a commentary on the process of creating commentary (of sorts) - my desire to simultaneously work on many multifaceted projects of creation and learning and commentary. My 3-headed blog (del.icio.us, caveteen.com data-driven front-page, blogger.hardlyknower.org) and my songwriting are just a symptom of this unfocused urge to learn, reach out and touch the world.
When I was in Brooklyn last week visiting with friends and I collaborated with the talented, inspirating and prolific Rob Fellman - we wrote & recorded a song in 2 hours - music, lyrics, the whole shebang. It was brilliant. I hope to finish as many projects as I start.
I still often wonder what the point of my many blogs is, though. I’m really looking forward to getting back to work so I don’t have as much time to read the news.
