That's a nice description of what was going on in New York. Lot's of cool Laszlo sessions, many people impressed by the great user experience created with OpenLaszlo. Hey, I'm waiting for the AJAX version of Webtop, too.

Even for me it's still fascinating how much you can achieve with so little code with OpenLaszlo and LZX!!! It has never been so easy to come up with amazing AJAX applications.

And I wonder what it would take to get Steve, Kent and David to be dancing like that...

hola elliot,

i gotta be quick, but i just want to say that working at home (cat on lap) has been my brooklyn m.o., too, but i definitely need some variety in my work scene, especially since it also my eat and sleep scene. we should talk about social working (co-working?) when i get here this spring/summer.

love, t

Yeah, it should be possible to stick the SWF in your myspace profile. You just need to add the <object> and <embed> for the blox app in your myspace HTML. If you can stick any Flash apps in your myspace profile then you can add a SoundBlox. Ask questions on the Laszlo Forums. I'm sure somebody will be able to help you out.

Wow! Did you ever bring back some sweet memories! I grew up in the suburbs of Portland, love the Oregon Coast and was born in Boise. I think you covered my lifespan in a few paragraphs pretty well! haha

Keep your toes in the sand! =]

Hi. I'm trying to figure out how Laszlo's, Soundblox, embedding code. Do you know if its possible to set it up on MySpace profiles? I know JavaScript tags aren't allowed but is there an alternative to embed it there? Thanks!

This blog is powered by WordPress, not Google's blogger.com. I'm not very familiar with blogger.com's policies.

I host my WordPress account at MediaTemple a hosting company in Los Angeles. WordPress is pretty cool - easy to use and not too difficult to modify and stick stuff like photoblox, flickr integration, blogrolls and other new technologies that I want to play with.

[...] The new Google Homepage API enables developers to quickly create dynamic homepages using XML, JavaScript and HTML. Squint, and you may spot some resemblance to the Laszlo Dashboard concept. Google can get part-way there by simply embedding some Laszlo blogboxes. Elliot Winard shows us how to get started with his simple example of a Laszlo ClockBlox integrated into a Google Homepage. [...]
